YEAR 10 IMMUNISATION CLINIC
The 2022 Year 10 Immunisation Clinic will take place next Tuesday 19 July. Students who have returned forms, and are receiving shots, will be withdrawn from normal classes for a short period of time to attend the clinic, set up at Boys Boarding.
Also on this day, students in Years 7, 8 and 11 who missed receiving their immunisations last year, or during Round 1 this year, will be able to receive their missed shots.
A copy of the immunisation forms is available below if parents/care givers need another copy.

REAL TALK
Next week students in Year 7-10 will be involved in personal development sessions. These will be presented by Real Talk. Real Talk is an organisation that gets real on the topics of sex, relationships and personal identity based on Catholic values.
Real Talk’s seminars are an opportunity for young people to hear from specifically trained outside presenters about important topics. The aim is to empower students to make healthy choices that show respect for themselves and others. For further information, please visit Real Talk’s website: Real Talk (realtalkaustralia.com)
Parents and students will receive a detailed letter with specific information pertaining to the seminars tomorrow. Please note, on Monday and Tuesday the sessions will be held at the Rockhampton Leagues Club from 8.45am – 2.30pm. Students will have the option of getting dropped off and picked up from the Rockhampton Leagues Club or coming to the College as per normal and our College bus will transport students to and from the venue (as per normal school times). Students will be able to wear free dress and morning tea and lunch will be provided. This only applies to the Year 7 and Year 9 students. On Wednesday the Year 8 and 10 students will be required to wear their formal College uniform and bring their lunch or purchase from the Cafe.

A CYBER SAFETY EVENT FOR PARENTS & CARERS
Professional speaker and renowned cyber safety expert, Brett Lee, speaks on the topic of digital compliance and internet safety; a topic that is paramount at TCC. You will be presented with engaging and powerful information in a way that will bring to life possible online dangers and responsibilities which are part of your child’s digital world. Strategies of protection and prevention will empower you to reduce online risks within your home. You will be amazed how simple this can be.

YEAR 9 CAMP
This year the Year 9 students will be attending an Outdoor Education Camp at Ferns Hideaway to enhance the holistic (physical, social, emotional and spiritual) development of our students.
There will be two (2) camps this year to cater for the Year 9 cohort.
Camp 1: | Year 9 Boys camp | Sunday 11 September – Tuesday 13 September |
Camp 2: | Year 9 Girls camp | Tuesday 13 September – Thursday 15 September |
The theme of the camp is TCC Survivor with the aim to provide all students with the opportunity to experience new and exciting activities in a safe, yet challenging environment. Survivor challenges will involve students working with House group members to complete a variety of activities. Camp activities include: camping, basic outdoor survival skills, canoeing, bushwalking, swimming, team building and problem solving.
Please find below a Camp Cover Letter and the relevant Permission Forms. These forms need to be complete and returned to the office, with payment by Friday 26August.
Year 9 students will receive more specific details on group selections, tents/bedding, clothing and food requirements in the coming days.

RUGBY LEAGUE
Please note that the draw for week 1 rugby league was released on Monday morning. Games for round 1 only are listed below. Parents/caregivers please make sure players get to their games on time.
Term 3 Rugby League begins this week. All sides have been posted on the sports window.
Buses will be leaving from the Mercy Centre carpark at 3:15pm for all games being played at St Brendan’s College, Yeppoon. Players are expected to find their own travel arrangements to and from games played in Rockhampton.
