MRS CLAIRE STITT (DEPUTY PRINCIPAL: MISSION)

NAIDOC MASS

Our Year 12 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students joined together with other students from Rockhampton and Yeppoon Catholic schools to celebrate at the NAIDOC Mass.  The theme for NAIDOC this year is Heal Country. Miss Jeffcoat presented Year 9 student Hamish Nolan-Munns the Catholic Education Scholarship for Indigenous Students.   Hamish who is a Boarder was joined by his family from Dysart present for this special occasion.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

YEAR 7 AND YEAR 8 PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

As part of the College’s Pastoral Care Program, our Year 7 and 8 students will participate in personal development sessions. Next Wednesday in lessons 1 and Lesson 2, Year 7 students will engage in sessions about the physical, social and emotional changes in their lives. The following Wednesday (Week 3) in lessons 1 and 2, the Year 8 students will engage in sessions about body image, self esteem and social media. I encourage you to speak with your children following these sessions.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
