Welcome to Term 3 ! This week Sydney and Logan deliver the good news of our College covering the spectacular success of our Community as we hosted Queensland’s Confraternity Carnival, our sporting achievements, the incredible Japan trip plus our upcoming events presented by Max and Sienna. Catholic Education Week
This year the State launch of Catholic Education Week will be hosted by Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton commencing with Mass in St Joseph's Cathedral on Wednesday 30 July followed by the State Awards ceremony to be held in our Performing Arts Centre.
Catholic Education Week provides an opportunity to celebrate our wonderful TCC community built on faith, hope and love in the education of young people at our College. We hope you're able to join us in these celebrations.
- Thursday 31 July 8am, Thursday Morning Mass
- Friday 1 August Academic Assemblies Senior School 9.45am | Middle School 10.55am
- Friday 1 August Cultural Soiree 5.30pm
- Saturday 2 August Ryan House High Tea in support of Mercy Works, honouring our deep connection to our Mercy charisms of compassion, service and social justice lived out by the Sisters of Mercy.

Real Talk
Next week students in Year 7-10 will engage in personal development sessions presented by Real Talk, covering the topics of sex, relationships and personal identity based on Catholic values. These sessions will be held at school.
Real Talk’s seminars are an opportunity for young people to hear from specifically trained outside presenters about important topics. The aim is to empower students to make healthy choices that show respect for themselves and others. For further information, please visit Real Talk’s website: Real Talk (realtalkaustralia.com)

Academic Assemblies
As part of our Catholic Education Week celebrations, we will be holding our Academic Assemblies on Friday 1st August in the College Mercy Centre, congratulating our students who excelled in Semester 1.
The Senior School Assembly (Years 10, 11, 12) will commence at 9:45am and the Middle School Assembly (Years 7, 8, 9) will commence at 10:55am. We warmly invite Parents and guests to attend or watch via the livestream.

Join us for an evening of excellence as the College’s finest public speakers in Years 10 –12 battle it out for the Senior Oratory title sharing their thoughts on current issues with eloquence and expression.
You’re invited to this much-loved event that spotlights our future leaders encouraging confidence as they develop skills to serve them for life.

Thank you to the wonderful support of our College community, this event is now sold out. Through the generous donation of Phelan Family Law we're able to raffle a family holiday prize to Great Keppel Island, to support Mercy Works. Mercy Works is the development arm of the Sisters of Mercy Australia and Papua New Guinea and works in partnership with local community organisations to support the most vulnerable both here in Australia and in Asia Pacific with a specific focus on women and children. Their programs strive to build capacity and self-reliance and to foster environmental sustainability.
