TCC News
Boarders Erin and Maxi present this week's bulletin covering National Boarding Week, a unique opportunity for students to become published writers, our Year 10 Careers Exploration Day and success at the Rockhampton Eisteddfod. Thank you for joining us.
Mission News
You're invited to share in the Eucharistic celebration at our upcoming TCC Parish Mass this Saturday evening at 6pm in St Joseph's Cathedral. As part of the Parish community our students lead us in the ministries of welcoming, proclaiming the Word of God, altar serving, singing and being extraordinary ministers of communion.
Last Thursday we honoured our Mums, Grandmothers and mother-like figures at Thursday Morning Mass. It was an opportunity to give thanks for our Mums and pray for them. Thank you to everyone who participated in this special occasion followed by Morning Tea in our College restaurant.
God Bless,
Mr Pat Egan

National Boarding Week
This week, we proudly celebrate National Boarding Week, an opportunity to recognise the invaluable role of boarding in shaping the lives of young people and strengthening school communities across the country. It is also a time to acknowledge and express gratitude to the many individuals who contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and thriving boarding environment—our dedicated staff, committed families, resilient students, and valued supporters.
At The Cathedral College, we embrace this year’s theme, Threads of Connection, which beautifully reflects the spirit of our boarding communities.
As the only Diocesan-owned Catholic boarding school in the region, we take great pride in our rich heritage, shaped by the extraordinary efforts of the Sisters of Mercy and the Christian Brothers. Their dedication led to the establishment of TCC in 1991, where boarding has remained an integral part of our mission.
We encourage everyone to take a moment this week to celebrate the boarding experience, recognise our boarders for their resilience and dedication, and appreciate the sacrifices they make to pursue their education at TCC.
