The Year 12 Farewell Mass is this Friday 18 October 2024 at 8.45am in St Joseph's Cathedral.

The Cathedral College Parents and Friends invite you to attend the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 22 October at 5.30pm in the TCC Restaurant. Please park in the Derby Street Carpark.

The Catholic School Parents Queensland (CSPQ) have provided a Fact Sheet for Parents about Catholic Education in Queensland and the 2024 State Election.
2025 NEXT STEP YEAR 12 COMPLETERS SURVEY
Year 12 students will be invited to participate in the Next Step Year 12 Completers survey starting in March 2025, following up on their activities after graduating.
The invitation will arrive via a letter from the Minister for Education, or an email or phone call from the Queensland Government Statistician’s Office. Please check your contact details are correct with the school and learning account that your child can access via the student portal at https://myqce.qcaa.qld.edu.au/.
Your child’s feedback helps our school improve services for future students, and they can win a prize for participating. For more info visit www.qld.gov.au/nextstep.
ACADEMIC AWARDS EVENING
The College has just completed the trilogy of Awards for 2024 where hundreds of students were recognised for their Academic, Sporting and Cultural achievements across the three ceremonies. The Academic Awards event on Friday evening celebrated excellence in academic studies while also awarding students for excelling in particular areas across the College. CURRICULUM NEWS
Year 10 and Year 11 Term 4 Assessment
Assessment dates have been changed to reflect the change of finishing date for Years 10 and 11 students – 22 November instead of 29 November.
Please check the updated Assessment Schedules below.
In addition, Week 8 has been changed to an Exam Block for both year levels. This means that students only need to attend school when they have an exam.

PONYTAIL PROJECT
Our Seniors are getting behind fundraising for Cancer by participating in the Ponytail Project. Already they have amassed over $20,000 in donations. On Thursday 17 October at first break “The Chop” will be happening here at TCC where 34 Seniors will offer up their locks to raise funds for essential cancer support services, prevention programs and lifesaving research.
