SET Plan Interviews commenced today and will continue over the next few weeks.
Can parents please assist by ensuring the SET Plan is completed and the subjects listed in the SET Plan match the selections made into the portal.

YEAR 9 BUSINESS ENTREPRENEURIAL EXPO
Over 70 Year 9 Business students will be presenting their business ideas and products at the upcoming Year 9 Entrepreneurial Expo. You're invited to attend this exciting and engaging afternoon that will definitely get you thinking as students present creative and innovative business models for today's ever-changing world. We're very proud of their work and we look forward to welcoming you to this unforgettable Academic event.

YEAR 8 BUSINESS - BOOK FAIR
Our Year 8 Business students will be hosting a Book Fair during Week 7. The fair will run before school from 8:00am and during first break each day. This is a great opportunity to purchase a variety of books and stationery items while supporting our students' entrepreneurial projects. We encourage all students to visit the fair and explore the selection on offer. Your participation will help foster a love of reading and support the development of our future business leaders.

VET - A PARENT WEBINAR
If you are a parent of a Queensland high school student, you won’t want to miss this free parent webinar, brought to you by the peak parent bodies in Queensland.
Vocational Education and Training (VET) subjects are more popular than ever in Years 11 and 12. We bring together experts in curriculum, VET and industry to help unpack the opportunities and advantages of combining academic studies with job-ready VET subjects, to set young people up for success in the workplace. A parent with a child studying VET will also share her family’s experience.

A MESSAGE FROM QLD'S CHIEF HEALTH OFFICER
Dear Parents,
Please see the attached information from Queensland’s Chief Health Officer regarding the concerning rise of Influenza and the availability of Vaccinations for you and children.
YEAR 9 SURVIVOR CAMP
This year the Year 9 students will be attending an Outdoor Education Camp at Ferns Hideaway to enhance the holistic (physical, social, emotional and spiritual) development of our students.
There will be two (2) camps this year to cater for the Year 9 cohort.
Camp 1: | Year 9 Boys camp | Sunday 8 September – Tuesday 10 September |
Camp 2: | Year 9 Girls camp | Tuesday 10 September – Thursday 12 September |
The theme of the camp is TCC Survivor with the aim of providing all students the opportunity to experience new and exciting activities in a safe, yet challenging environment. Survivor challenges will involve students working with House group members to complete a variety of activities. Camp activities include: camping, basic outdoor survival skills, canoeing, bushwalking, swimming, team building and problem solving.
Please find below a Camp Information Letter and the relevant Permission Forms. Payment must be made through Parent Lounge and forms completed and returned to the office by Friday 23August.
Year 9 students will receive hard copies of the forms and more specific details on group selections, tents/bedding, clothing and food requirements in the coming days.

EMPLOYMENT, TRAINEESHIP AND WORK EXPERIENCE NEWS
Parents/Guardians for Year 9 students. During Week 10, Year 9 students can participate in a tour of the TAFE/University campus of CQUniversity. The Year 9 girls' tour will be on Monday 9 September, while the Year 9 boys' tour will be on Wednesday 11 September. If you would like your student to attend, please complete the form below.
