TCC DAY
Friday 9 August
TCC Day is when we celebrate our College community. It is a fun day where students participate in activities that highlight our College’s unique character and essence. We expect all students to attend. It is a Free Dress Day for a $2 Coin donation for Cancer Research. Students have been informed they must wear modest clothing, closed in shoes and a hat.
Lunch - Food must be pre-ordered from outside the Student Counter this week and on Monday and Tuesday next week during First and Second Breaks. The Menu for TCC Day is American Cheese Burger $5, Southern Fried Chicken Burger $5, Vegetarian Burger $5, Sausage on Bread $2.50, Various soft drinks $2.00. There are gluten free options for the Burgers above. Please advise when ordering. Students will need to pre-order their lunch as the Triple C Cafe will not be offering its normal food.

Parent Engagement Session – The Resilience Shield

Dear Parents,
We're looking forward to welcoming Dr Dan Pronk from The Resilience Shield to the College next week to share with us his researched knowledge and lived experience on Resilience. He has an incredible life story working as a Doctor for the Australian Army in Special Operations in Afghanistan and Timor Leste, being awarded the Commendation for Distinguished Service for his leadership and has worked in confronting and highly stressful environments. From this comes the Resilience Shield. Dr Dan is passionate about creating more resilient communities to overcome adversity. We invite you to RSVP in the link below.

Updated Curriculum Handbook
The updated Curriculum Handbook is available on the TCC website. The Handbook covers subjects from Year 7 – Year 12.

YEAR 9 SURVIVOR CAMP
This year the Year 9 students will be attending an Outdoor Education Camp at Ferns Hideaway to enhance the holistic (physical, social, emotional and spiritual) development of our students.
There will be two (2) camps this year to cater for the Year 9 cohort.
Camp 1: | Year 9 Boys camp | Sunday 8 September – Tuesday 10 September |
Camp 2: | Year 9 Girls camp | Tuesday 10 September – Thursday 12 September |
The theme of the camp is TCC Survivor with the aim of providing all students the opportunity to experience new and exciting activities in a safe, yet challenging environment. Survivor challenges will involve students working with House group members to complete a variety of activities. Camp activities include: camping, basic outdoor survival skills, canoeing, bushwalking, swimming, team building and problem solving.
Please find below a Camp Information Letter and the relevant Permission Forms. Payment must be made through Parent Lounge and forms completed and returned to the office by Friday 23August.
Year 9 students will receive hard copies of the forms and more specific details on group selections, tents/bedding, clothing and food requirements in the coming days.
