PARENT ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Parent Engagement Session – The Resilience Shield
This term we offer a special opportunity to examine and improve our resilience with the visit of The Resilience Shield to the College. Special guest speaker, Dr Dan Pronk will present to teachers and staff on Monday 5 August and to Parents on Tuesday 6 August at 5.30pm in the Mercy Centre. The focus of the workshop will be centred on the Resilience Shield model, as specifically applied to the stressors of a busy professional and personal lifestyle. It will offer a deeper understanding of the constituent elements of resilience and stress and provide a powerful set of highly actionable tools to help facilitate immediate improvements. More information will be forthcoming with an invitation to be emailed to all parents. We look forward to welcoming Dr Dan Pronk to the college and hope you’re able to join us.
REAL TALK
Next week students in Year 7-10 will be involved in personal development sessions. These will be presented by Real Talk. Real Talk is an organisation that gets real on the topics of sex, relationships and personal identity based on Catholic values.
Real Talk’s seminars are an opportunity for young people to hear from specifically trained outside presenters about important topics. The aim is to empower students to make healthy choices that show respect for themselves and others. For further information, please visit Real Talk’s website: Real Talk (realtalkaustralia.com)
Parents and students should have received a detailed letter with specific information pertaining to the seminars. Links to the relevant year level letters have been included below.
