THE CATHEDRAL COLLEGE NEWS WEEK 10
GOODBYE & GOD BLESS
Last week students and staff attended the Diocese's Mass of Thanksgiving for our Director Miss Leesa Jeffcoat as she concludes her time with Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton. Our students and staff were also involved in Music ministry and altar serving, alongside the many priests from the Diocese who gathered for the special Mass.
As the curtain gently falls on this inspiring and faith filled service and dedication to the many students and staff of the Diocese, we thank Miss Jeffcoat for the particular care, concern and kindness she has shown our College community and pray for God's continued blessings as she finds new and exciting ways to live life in all its fullness and experience God's rich blessings. We look forward to welcoming our new Director of Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton, Mr Michael McCusker next term.

Bishop Michael McCarthy presents Miss Jeffcoat a framed blessing from Pope Francis and is pictured with Mr Allan Blagaich, Executive Director, Queensland Catholic Education Commission, Mr Michael McCusker (Back), and Ms Jacinta Collins, Executive Director, National Catholic Education.

RYAN HOUSE HIGH TEA
As part of Catholic Education Week celebrations, Ryan House will be hosting a High Tea, in support of Mercy Works, on Saturday 27 July 2024, commencing at 2pm in the Mercy Centre here at TCC. Spend a perfect afternoon with your family and friends enjoying the entertainment including a multi-draw raffle and silent auction whilst being served a delectable High Tea by the students of Ryan House.
Book your tickets via the link below.
Dear Parents,
Help brew a little goodness for young people in Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines who suffer extraordinary hardships through poverty and disadvantage.
You’re invited to donate a Multi-Draw Prize for our Ryan House High Tea in support of Mercy Works to help our students serve up some much needed love.
Just like a nice cup of tea, your gift will bring comfort and not only make a difference in young lives today but promote a sense of social justice in the future leaders of tomorrow.
In our faith based community we all experience fullness of life when responding in love to the needs of those less fortunate, and this is made possible through Mercy Works.
Mercy Works is the Ministry of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea and at TCC we’re blessed to inherit their life-giving charism. Ryan House is named in honour of Sr Andrina Ryan who was the last Sister of Mercy, Principal of The Range College and who passed away in 2020 after a life of service to Catholic Education, and Catholic Health and Aged Care.
Please contact the College today if you would like to find out more or to donate your Prize. Thank you for your amazing generosity.
