Feast of St Joseph
Tuesday marked a significant day for our TCC community, the Feast day for the patron saint of our diocese St Joseph. The gospel reading for the day explained simply how a man was given a challenge to follow God even though this choice would inevitably mean hardship and judgement by many. Joseph was just a man who had to make a choice. The strength of character, conviction and dedication shown by Joseph to Mary and the soon to be born Jesus, is somewhat of an almost tangible reminder of what calls us to be in our everyday vocation as parents, family members and educators of young people. The image below created by Miss Alyssa Day sums up the optic of St Joseph “the father” in a simple but powerful way.
We pray that we can also have the strength shown by St Joseph to follow God in which ever way He calls us.

CURRICULUM
End-of-Term Assessment
During the next week, most classes will be involved in assessment.
Years 7 – 10 - If your child is unwell on the day of an exam, please email the class teacher and they will organise a catch-up exam session with the subject Academic Dean. Please note that this session may need to be after school.
Year 11 and 12 – If your child is unwell on the day of an exam, please email Assistant Principal: Curriculum, Brenda Mallory (brenda.mallory@tccr.com.au) and a catch-up session will be organised. Please note that this session may need to be after school. Students who miss exams are required to complete a comparable exam for that subject.
For all year levels, assignments must be submitted on or before the due date, regardless of whether your child is attending school on that day.
Parent/Teacher Interviews – Monday 15 April 2024
Dear Parents.
You're welcome to book your Parent Teacher interviews on Monday 15 April, 2024. This is available through Parent Lounge and through the new Parent Orbit App.

YEAR 7 & 9 NAPLAN TESTING
Year 7 & 9 NAPLAN testing concluded on Monday. I was pleased with the students’ approach to testing - lining up quickly and quietly, being prepared with the correct equipment and completing each test to the best of their ability.
The College expects to receive results from QCAA early in Term 3. These will be shared with families. Results are reported as a four-level proficiency standard:
- Exceeding
- Strong
- Developing
- Needs additional support
The individual student reports will show the range of achievement for the middle 60% of students in the year level and a dot placement for individual students to indicate their achievement against these measures.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Ms Rachele Belz (Assistant Principal: Staff Development & Formation)
