COMMUNITY OF FAITH
A reminder that this Saturday Night, 6:00pm at St Joseph’s Cathedral we will celebrate our second TCC Parish Mass for 2024. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate, as we start the fourth week of our Lenten calendar. As this is our TCC Mass, our fantastic College Liturgy Committee will lead the ministries on the night, making it a very special service. It will be a wonderfully personal Mass and I invite all in our TCC community to come and join us.
High school students are invited to join Elevate Youth Group in the Cathedral Corso straight after Mass, where we will enjoy a shared meal of pizza. Following this Samara from St. Vincent de Paul will present a workshop inspiring our young people on how they can take social action in our community.
God Bless,
Mr Patrick Egan (Deputy Principal: Mission)
2024 NEXT STEP YEAR 12 COMPLETERS SURVEY
All Year 12 completers from last year will soon receive an invitation to do the Next Step survey. This is their chance to help our school to understand the different pathways of the 2023 Year 12 students and to improve our senior programs and supports for future students. The survey only takes 5 minutes and asks graduates about their study and work activities since finishing school.
As a thank you for participating, Year 12 completers will be entered into a draw to win a MacBook Air.
We ask parents, siblings and friends to encourage our graduates to complete the survey. If their contact details have changed, please assist survey interviewers with their updated details or forward the survey to their new address so they can participate. Graduates may receive an invitation by mail, email or phone. The survey can be completed online or by phone.
For more information about Next Step, including previous results, visit http://www.qld.gov.au/nextstep.

Year 12 – Change to Assessment Schedule
After consultation with students and staff, we have decided to add a 2-day Exam Block to Term 1. This has been done to give students further opportunities to get the best marks possible on their internal assessments.
Friday 22 March (Week 9) and Monday 25 March (Week 10) will now be an Exam Block. There will be one exam on each of these days (Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics). The benefit is that students studying MM and SM will not miss classes due to their exam and it will also give students extra time to finalise assessments.
Please download the updated schedule. Students have been emailed a copy of the schedule.
