COMMUNITY OF FAITH
Thank you to all those in our community who joined our Opening College Mass and Commissionings last Friday either in person or via the live stream. It was wonderful to celebrate our Year 12 students and we wish them all the best for their final year of schooling. This Saturday will be our first TCC/Parish Mass for the year. Our Liturgy Committee will be leading the Mass Ministries along with some of our very talented TCC students and staff who will be part of the Music Ministry on the night. We would love for you to join us at St Joseph's Cathedral at 6pm.

NAPLAN TESTING
NAPLAN testing
NAPLAN tests will take place from Wednesday 13 March – Monday 18 March 2023 (Term 1, Week 8/9). Students in Year 7 and Year 9 will participate as per the schedule below. In other lessons on these days, learning will occur as per students’ regular timetables.
In Week 7, Year 7 students will participate in a practice test so they are familiar with the online platform and where they will be seated. They will experience the same environment for the actual testing period. More information about the practice session will be communicated shortly.
Date | Test | Length | Year 7 schedule | Year 9 schedule |
Wednesday 13 March | Writing | 42 minutes + instruction time | Lesson 1 | Lesson 3 |
Thursday 14 March | Reading | 65 minutes + instruction time | Lesson 1 | Lesson 3 |
Friday 15 March | Conventions of language | 45 minutes + instruction time | Lesson 1 | Lesson 3 |
Monday 18 March | Numeracy | 65 minutes + instruction time | Lesson 1 | Lesson 3 |
Students will need their own set of wired headphones for the NAPLAN test period. Wireless and Bluetooth headphones will not work with the lockdown browser. Students must bring their headphones each day of the testing period. It is vital students remember to charge their laptops each evening, to ensure adequate battery life.
If a student is absent for one or more of the NAPLAN tests, catch-up sessions will be available on Tuesday 19 March.
