THE CATHEDRAL COLLEGE NEWS WEEK 6
COLLEGE NEWS
COMMUNITY OF FAITH
This weekend’s Gospel reading on the Feast of Pentecost is from the Gospel of John. Pentecost is our final celebration of the season of Easter, and we are reminded that we are not on our own. After breathing on the apostles, Jesus said ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’. What a wonderful celebration Pentecost is as we are reminded that the Holy Spirit is with us all. This year our celebration will be even greater as twenty-one young people are filled with the life and gifts of the Holy Spirit at their Baptism and Confirmation. ‘Peace be with you’ will be Bishop Michael’s greeting to us all as we commence Mass, as it was Jesus’s greeting to the apostles at Pentecost.
