THE CATHEDRAL COLLEGE NEWS WEEK 1
COLLEGE NEWS
Welcome back to school for Term 2. We hope you had a refreshing break celebrating Easter together with your family and friends. This week's TCC TV News presented by College leaders Olivia, Curtis, Fletcher and Honey features an address from our College Principal Mr Rob Alexander and the exciting news and events of our College. We hope you enjoy this bulletin of TCC TV News.
COMMUNITY OF FAITH
This Easter season offers each of us the opportunity to celebrate the Risen Lord and the triumph of life over death, love over hate and hope over despair. For each of us this is an exciting prospect, that our everyday lives with our challenges, deep hurts and disappointments, may be transformed through Christ. You're invited to join our Community of Faith to celebrate TCC Parish Mass this Saturday evening at 6pm in St Joseph's Cathedral where the Easter story of hope continues.
Anzac Day Mass will be at 8am in St Joseph's Cathedral.

ANZAC DAY 2023
Anzac Day is an important day on our national calendar. The public holiday allows time for each of us to pause, reflect, remember and give thanks for the sacrifices made by Australia's service men and women, past and present, who have protected our freedom and way of life. We encourage all students to participate in Anzac Day Marches and/or Ceremonies. The College will be participating as a group at the Rockhampton Dawn Service and the Rockhampton Anzac Day March. Details are contained in this link.

Mr Tim Murphy: Assistant Principal - Students (Senior School)
PARENT LOUNGE
Did you know you are able to advise the College office of your child's absence via Parent Lounge? This is another useful and convenient application of Parent Lounge and I invite you to review the "How to Guide" below to assist you with this. You may also like to take the opportunity to update your details should they have changed. Thank you for continuing to advise us in a timely manner when your child will be away from school.

CURRICULUM NEWS
CAREER NEWS
Last year TCC held a very successful Year 10 Careers Exploration Morning. We had some amazing feedback from presenters and students that indicated this event was a worthwhile experience for all participants. This year our event will be held on Thursday 18 May from 8.30am to 11.30am.
Our students have a wide variety of career interests and get so much out of hearing from people actually working in the fields they are interested in. If you would like to attend and share your career pathway with students we would love to hear from you. The presentations are very informal with small groups of approx. 10-12 students at a time. If you would like any further information please contact careersstaff@tccr.com.au.
