SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We value the educational partnership we share with you and your sons and/or daughters and together recognise the benefits of regular attendance at school. We understand there are times when students are absent from school due to illness, important appointments and significant family occasions. The negative impact of accumulated absenteeism on your child’s learning and wellbeing is surprising as detailed on our college website and it is for this reason we would like to work with you to help reduce unnecessary absenteeism. If you have concerns about your child’s absenteeism please contact me or your child’s House Dean. Please continue to communicate with the school when your child will be absent through one of the following methods.
- Absentee Line 4999 1399
- Parent Lounge
- Email tccr@tccr.com.au
Further insight into the impact of missed time at school and the College’s Attendance Policy can be viewed by visiting the link below.

CURRICULUM NEWS
TCC HERB AND VEGETABLE GARDEN
Within Food Technologies we are embracing the use of our updated herb and vegetable garden. Students engage in the planting, maintaining, picking and preparing ingredients straight from the garden in their dishes they create. They not only gain a greater understanding of what they eat but also blends the need for reduction of food miles and sustainability within the kitchen. To read more please visit the link.

IMMUNISATION - YEAR 7
CHANGES TO NATIONAL IMMUNISATION PROGRAM
Dear Parents / Care Givers,
In February 2023, the National Immunisation Program changed the recommended human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine schedule for year 7 students from two doses to only one dose, using the same vaccine.
What this means for you, is if your son/daughter received their vaccine on Wednesday, they no longer require a second dose later in the year, as originally stated on the consent forms. The scheduled 2nd round of immunisation on Tuesday 24th October will remain in the calendar for students who did not receive the single dose on Wednesday. Alternatively, they may visit their GP.
Your son/daughter would have received a letter on Wednesday after their immunisation, outlining these changes in more detail. We have also provided a copy of this letter below.
Should you have any further questions or concerns, please contact Ozcare on (07) 4937 4200.
Regards
